Dry January Mocktails

Who wants to do Dry January with me? 

This is my second year participating, and while I love a great cocktail… sometimes it’s time to pump the breaks on the booze and go into full detox mode.

Dry January doesn’t mean you have to miss out on delicious drinks. Here are 4 satisfying mocktails for you to enjoy this month.


3:00 SOMEWHERE: is really sweet and perfect for the fruity cocktail connoisseur. If you want to cut down on the sugar, you could do fresh squeezed lemons and just a dash of OJ.

prep time: 2 minutes
mix time: 3 minutes
total: 5 minutes

INGREDIENTS:
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Mix the first 4 ingredients together in a cocktail shaker or mason jar with lid.
  2. Pour over ice
  3. Top with soda water or sparkling water

SOBER HEMINGWAY: is basically a mojito sans booze. This is a great alternative for someone who wants something a little more flavorful than plain water.

total: 3 minutes

INGREDIENTS:
INSTRCUTIONS: 
  1. Cut 3-4 lime wedges and place them with mint leaves in a tall glass, squeeze in some of the juice from the lime wedges
  2. Muddle together until most of juice has been released from the lime
  3. Add in crushed ice and mix
  4. Top with soda water or flavored sparkling water

GRAPEFRUIT ROSEMARY SPRITZER:  is my favorite one. Grapefruits are currently in season and absolutely delicious! If you don’t like grapefruit or can’t do grapefruit for medical reasons, just skip this one

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Make simple syrup and chill
  2. Squeeze fresh grapefruit juice in mixer
  3. Add simple syrup to grapefruit juice
  4. Mix vigorously
  5. Pour over ice and add sparkling grapefruit water or any flavor of sparkling water to top
  6. Add rosemary sprig to garnish

CRANBERRY BOMB: This one is great for your gut health, I recommend a ginger flavored Kombucha.

  1. Combine kombucha and cranberry juice and stir gently
  2. Pour over ice
  3. Add rosemary and cranberries for garnish
